Certyco puts professionals in front of Industry Experts who still do the job, for an honest read on where they stand and for mentoring from someone who has been there. Companies use the same experts to evaluate the people they are considering.
Three services, one table
Open Evaluation. A 90-minute evaluation with an Industry Expert twelve to twenty years into your field. You keep the scorecard, the written assessment, the recording and a development plan.
Mentor Match. One-on-one sessions with a mentor who does the job today, with recordings, notes and a written recommended plan.
Evaluation on Demand. For employers. You send the people you are considering, we evaluate them with the same process, and you decide.
Every evaluation is scored on four dimensions, technical, domain, platform and soft skills, and on every skill listed. A Certyco Mark is awarded at an overall score of 3.5 and above. Prices are on the pricing page.
What Certyco is not
Certyco is not a job board, a recruiter, a staffing agency or a consultancy. Professionals book an evaluation for themselves and keep the result. When a company in our network has a role that matches, verified professionals are put forward first, and the company hires directly. Certyco takes no commission on hires.
Who is behind Certyco
I am Sharique Shaikh, the founder of Certyco. I have spent sixteen years in quality assurance and delivery on insurance technology programs, ten of them with Deloitte across India, the United States and Canada, and I now work as an independent consultant to Canadian insurers. I am based in Oakville, Ontario.
Much of my work has been deciding whether something is ready: testing core insurance platforms such as Guidewire before they go live, and giving leadership an honest answer on whether they work. Over the same years I interviewed, hired and mentored many people, and saw how little a resume or a standard interview tells you about how good someone is at their work.
Certyco exists to fix that. A professional is evaluated by a senior practitioner in their own field, through a structured conversation about real work, and leaves with feedback and a record they can use to grow their career and show employers.
I am also Certyco's Privacy Officer, so questions about how your data is handled reach the person accountable for it.
